So most of you know that my Brother is a pilot for U.S. Customs. Well Tuesday, May 19th, was career day at our Alma Mater, Mt.Carmel High School (and yes also the fine school that gave us Adam Lambert of American Idol). Well, Derrick's unit was asked to fly down to the school and land on the baseball field as part of career day and talk with the students. So Adyson and Avery went with Nonna & Papa to see Uncle Derrick fly in and land. Something we really thought they would enjoy since they are always getting excited when "hecoptors" fly over the house. Well, Avie started crying and yelling for mommy because of the wind and noice, as you can imagaine, and Adyson being the princess she is, was a bit scared as well. Avie finally came around and then got excited to see the "hecoptor" and below is the only picture that was captured before she stiffened her body enough to get down! What an awesome day and a great memory to have!

I've been Slacking!
Okay, so I know it's been like, forever, since I've written or posted anything to my blog! What can I say...my job is getting in the way of my personal life! In all seriousness I just haven't had much free time...work, husband, children, etc. keep me rather busy. Avery has been a handful lately, not wanting to sleep through the night, so needless to say, I don't sleep through the night. I think she's getting better, but she's still sleeping on the floor in our room. Sarah is home full time now as her dad has gone back to Iraq. We usually have a week on and a week off, so it's been an adjustment...a good one though. Adyson is mellow yellow as usual, but a bit more whiney these days. We're nipping that in the bud quickly! We're so excited she's starting kindergarten this year...but hard to believe our Adyree is already going to be 5!! Honestly, I don't know where the time goes. I feel like I'm walking around in a daze half the time and the days start blending into each other.
We've had a good year so far and hoping that the rest of the year is just as good if not better! Cord and the girls gave me a fabulous Mother's Day which started off with homemade coffee cake in the morning, some beautiful artwork made by the girls, some quiet time for myself, topped off with a BBQ with our parents and my brother and his family! I couldn't have asked for anything more. My goal is to definitely start blogging more and keeping you all up to date on our life. I really do have so much to share...just have to find the time to share it!

A Disneyland Thanksgiving!!!
So this year we skipped Thanksgiving and surprised the girls with a trip to Disneyland!! Well, Avery stayed with Hammy & Papa, because she's still too young for that adventure! We got the girls up in the morning and started driving...they had no idea where we were headed, other than that Cord told them we were going on vacation. Sarah figured it out after we checked into our hotel. They were so excited and it was one of the best Thanksgiving we've had. I've never see the park at Christmas time and it truly is magical this time of year! even I felt like a little kid!!

Our first wedding of 2008!!
Saturday Cord and I went to a wedding! Elvin, from the OC office, got married to Somer after about 2 1/2 years or so of dating! It was such a fun time and great to see others from the OC office. I will post pictures later, but this was just a little catch up for me because I've been crazy busy. The girls, yes all 3, stayed home, well at the Baker's house, and Brian and Kristen came over to watch them so we wouldn't miss the event. When we got home I noticed a carved pumpkin on the kitchen table, all the girls were in bed, and Brian and Kristen were getting ready to go out! Yes, go out for the evening at 11:00. I was ready for bed and they were just starting...oh to be young again! Well, they had a great time with the girls and the girls had a great time with them! Brian took Sarah out to the store to get a pumpkin because they thought it would be fun to carve one. Then he had to donate $2 to breast cancer because he needed two bracelets, one for Adyson and one for Sarah. If that just doesn't melt your heart! I'm so fortunate to have such wonderful cousins who love my kids and want to spend time with them so I can have adult time with my hubby! Brian and Kristen you are too sweet!! We love you!! Pictures to follow soon!!

Ever wonder what the little one is doing when the house gets too quiet????
So Sunday was gameday...the kick off to another season of Charger football. Well, Cord did the traditional and put Avery in her Jersey, which was Adyson's but is now too small. We were watching the game and the girls were playing in the den. Avery kept going up and down the stairs and then we realized...it's too quiet! I looked in the mirror to the top of the stairs and this is what I saw...

My New Camera
Canon Rebel EOS XSI...Welcome to the family!!!
So I saved my sewing money and was finally able to get myself the new digital camera that I've been wanting. I had a great Canon SLR, but about two years after I bought it everything went digital and it became obsolete. I've missed my camera tremendously and couldn't wait for the day to welcome a new one. I love taking pictures and playing around and now I'm free to do that again! Below is a picture that Cord actually took, but I thought it was the perfect picture to post for Trixie's (my camera's new name) deput.
